As I ventured into the quaint coastal town of Kundapura, nestled amidst the idyllic landscapes of the Udupi district in Karnataka, I was ready for the retreat that awaited me at Balkatmane Heritage Spa Resort. Located just a leisurely 2-hour drive away from Goa, this serene haven promised a tranquil escape against the breathtaking backdrop of the Western Ghats.
Stepping through the threshold of Balkatmane, I found myself immersed in an oasis of serenity. The resort's courtyard, adorned with terracotta-tiled flooring and supported by sturdy khamb-wooden pillars, exuded an aura of rustic elegance reminiscent of traditional Karnataka architecture. A solitary swing swayed gently in the breeze, inviting me to unwind and lose myself in the timeless beauty of the surroundings.
